Cupro is a fabric made from cotton waste that requires special care. You can wash it at home unless the label specifies green dry cleaning. As always, we recommend you do a water test on the fabric before washing.
We recommend using a very delicate soap, such as the Laundress stain solution or wash and stain bar.
If your garment is clean, we recommend you use steam to clean it, together with cashmere spray to get rid of any smell. If the water test was good, you could wash the fabric with cold water by hand using the delicate Stain Solution, which is ideal for protein and tannin stains, such as wine, coffee, ink, grass, urine, blood old, set-in stains such as pit stains.
The Wash & Stain Bar works the material to remove dirt, grease, oil, and makeup from cupro blends.
To remove odor, presoak the item for 30 minutes in cool water mixed with ¼ cup of scented vinegar.
As always, hang to dry and avoid any harsh soaps or the machine for your cupro (vegan silk) pieces. Steam or iron carefully at a medium to low temperature.
Lastly, if you prefer not to hand wash, you can always green dry clean your pieces in a laundry like Oxxo.
